Intake Manifold Replacement - Right Side Intake and Forced Induction Intake Manifold

Remove the turbocharger. Refer toTurbocharger Replacement.Remove the right fuel rail. Refer toFuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1.Remove the injection pump. Refer toFuel Injection Pump Replacement.Remove the intake manifold bolts/nuts-(1).
Note:The intake manifold uses sealer. Pry at the area by the fuelrail bolt holes in order to avoid damage to the sealingsurfaces.Remove the left intake manifold-(2).To prevent entry of debris in the cylinder head, tape theopenings.Installation Procedure
Apply a 2–3-mm (1/8-in) wideby 0.5–1.5-mm (1/16-in) high beadof sealant on the intake manifold mating surface. Refer toAdhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers.
Install the intake manifold-(2).Install the intake manifold bolts/nuts-(1).Install the injection pump. Refer toFuel Injection Pump Replacement.
Caution:Refer toFastener Caution.Tighten the intake manifold bolts/nuts in the sequence shownto25-Y(18-lb-ft).Install the right fuel rail. Refer toFuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement - Bank 1.Install the turbocharger. Refer toTurbocharger Replacement.
