Locking Differential Disassemble (10 5 Inch Axle) Driveline Control 4WD Driveline Control

Rating:

Remove the differential case assembly. Refer toDifferential Replacement.Remove the differential ring gear. Refer toDrive Pinion and Ring Gear Replacement.Remove the differential side bearings. Refer toDifferential Bearing Replacement.

Remove the differential case screws.

Use the yoke hole location to pry and separate thedifferential case halves.Hold the locking differential cam, side gear, and the clutchplate assembly in the right side case half.

Remove the differential governor.

Remove the differential governor lock.

Remove the locking differential thrust block.

Note:Mark the differential spider, the differential pinion gearsand the differential pinion gears accordingly in order tore-assemble the components correctly into the differentialcase.

Remove the locking differential spider, pinion gears and thethrust washers.

Remove the locking differential side gear.

Remove the left side clutch plates and the guideclips.

Remove the left side gear thrust washer.

Remove the right side cam unit and clutch plateassembly.

Remove the right side locking differential clutch disc thrustwasher.Disassemble the left side differential side gear and clutchdisc assembly.
