Fluid/Lubricant

Engine Oil

Engine oils with the letters CJ-4 are required for your vehicle. The CJ-4 designationcan appear either alone or in combination with other American Petroleum Institute(API) designations, such as API CJ-4/SL. These letters show API levels of quality.To determine the preferred viscosity for your vehicle's diesel engine, seeEngine Oil.

Engine Coolant

50/50 mixture of clean, drinkable water and use only DEX-COOL® coolant. SeeEngine Coolant.

Hydraulic Brake System

DOT 3 Hydraulic Brake Fluid (GM Part No. 19299818, in Canada 19299819).

Windshield Washer

Automotive windshield washer fluid that meets regional freeze protection requirements.

Diesel Exhaust Aftertreatment System

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (GM Part No. 19286291, in Canada 88862660) or diesel exhaustfluid that meets ISO 22241-1 or displays the API Diesel Exhaust Fluid CertificationMark.
